EQUIPMENT:

• Install anti-vibration system to avoid refueling while refueling, thereby reducing pollution.
• Install equipment to produce more renewable energy to support the yacht (for example, wind generators, solar panels, etc.

BEFORE LEAVING:

• Fuel should be loaded and early in the morning with a moderate flow as the fuel has a lower temperature, is less dense and minimizes evaporation.
• Wait a few hours to refuel after the tanker stops to avoid polluting residues
• Avoid using plastic wrap and disposable containers, use recyclable materials like glass, tin can, cardboard

ON THE SEA:

• Preferably use water-soluble sunscreens over oil-based sunscreens. Oil-based products leave a film on the surface of the ocean and reduce photosynthesis.
• Do not discharge wastewater into sensitive areas such as protected areas, swimming areas, mooring areas, tidal areas and restricted flow
• If not necessary, limit running the engine to the highest speed. With the optimum speed of the yacht, or a few levels reduction, the yacht will save fuel and reduce pollution significantly.
• Take care to slow down in protected areas, near the beach, or any other sensitive areas to limit the impact on marine life by engine noise. Thereby minimizing noise pollution.
• Limiting the use of air conditioning, priority installation of insulation systems of yachts
• Preferring the use of anchoring buoys over anchors because they can cause disturbance in the ocean floor and marine resources. When using anchors / mooring buoys, use in areas of sandy bottom (empty area). Currently, there are some types of anchors designed in the market that are eco-friendly, allowing the conservation of marine biodiversity while ensuring the safety of yachts.

To minimize environmental pollution, not only in yacht use but also in the surrounding life, remember the 3R rule: Reduce, Recycle, Reuse.
